ABOUT
Martina studied Osteopathic Sciences both in Italy and the UK, she is practicing as an Osteopath since 2020, but she started her osteopathic clinical internship back in 2017.
She holds a Diploma in Osteopathy (DO), by the “Accademia Italiana di Medicina Osteopatica (AIMO)”, in Saronno and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Osteopathy, by the “University College of Osteopathy (UCO)”, London. During her University years she was awarded twice the “Best Student of the Year Prize for the Osteopathic Medicine course”, both in 2017/2018 and 2019/2020 academic years. Her treatments use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms. Martina has a big passion for her profession and a patient centered view. She has a special interest for the “correlation between a scar and a structure” treatment. An old, untreated scar can cause fascial adhesions and affect distant body structures. It is not unfrequent, for example, for women with a mastectomy scar to experience shoulder pain. Martina is also a Yoga teacher and she may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring. She is a member of the Svenska Osteopatförbundet and she is in a continuing professional development through CPD courses between Sweden, Italy and UK. |
